December 2, 2015 At the recent Autumn Immunology Conference (AIC) in Chicago, Farah Itani received the AAI Young Investigator Award, which is given to the student presenter whose abstract is judged best in their section.

November 18, 2015 Nicholas Borcherding BS, MS, was recently awarded the University of Iowa L.B. Sims Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award in the Biological Sciences.

Our tenth annual Pathology Research Day was held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Morning research presentations by faculty, trainees and staff took place in the H.P. Smith Conference Room (W256 GH) and the plenary presentation, given by Dr. Jeffrey Golden was held at 1:00 PM in the Prem Sahai Auditorium (1110 MERF). The afternoon poster session was held in the Eckstein Medical Research Building Atrium with 40 posters presented.

September 21, 2015 Katherine Gibson-Corley DVM, PhD has accepted an invitation to serve on the Editorial Board at Veterinary Pathology for a three-year term beginning this fall.

September 10, 2015 Robert Humble, M1 and Nicholas Borcherding, M2G, were presented The Richard G. Lynch, MD Award for Pathology at the celebration dinner following the Medical Student Research Day on September 4, 2015.
