The Department of Pathology is a proud part of the comprehensive health services provided to patients of the University of Iowa Health Care as well as testing for regional affiliates, and national and international healthcare providers seeking a second opinion.
Our team of pathologists, technologists, and staff deliver comprehensive, high quality, anatomic and clinical pathology laboratory services available not only to patients of UI Health care, but external providers and medical organizations, as well.

Referral diagnostic services
University of Iowa Diagnostic Laboratories (UIDL) is the reference lab that provides services for outside labs and providers including the processing, diagnosis and interpretation of:
