Pornphan (Ying) Sae-Sim, MD, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology PGY-2, is a top five abstract winner for her work, “Clinicopathologic and Molecular Features of Fusion-Positive and Fusion-Negative Pleomorphic Sarcomas: A Single Institution Study,” which will be presented at the CAP 2026 annual meeting.

We held our annual Resident and Fellow Farewell Dinner on June 12, 2026 at the McCord Club and celebrated with a delicious dinner, dessert, with remarks from our co-chief residents on each of the graduating residents and fellows. We also took the time to recognize the impactful work of our team members with several awards.

Aranza Pinedo, MD, M.Ed, M.MEd received the Pathologist in Training Best Abstract Award from the Renal Pathology Society at the 2026 USCAP annual meeting for her abstract “Training Gaps, Perceptions, and Career Interest in Nephropathology among U.S. Anatomic Pathology Residents: A Nationwide Cross-Sectional Study and Call to Action.”
