Nicole Becker, MD

Nicole Becker, MD joined UI Pathology as Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Becker received her MD from University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed both her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency and Surgical Pathology fellowship at UI Health Care. Dr. Becker then completed a Neuropathology fellowship at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan, before returning home to us in Iowa City.

Matthew Carda, DO

Matthew Carda, DO joined UI Pathology as Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Carda received his DO from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Carda completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Carda then completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of Utah/ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Johanna Savage, MD

Johanna Savage, MD has joined UI Pathology as Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Savage received her MD from University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at UI Health Care. During Dr. Savage's residency she also was a visiting resident in Gynecologic Pathology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Savage then completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at University of Iowa Health Care before returning to Johns Hopkins for a Fellowship/Assistant in Gynecologic Pathology. Luckily, she returned home to us in Iowa City.
