How long have you been working in Pathology?
I have been here about 2 years.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I like the people I work with, and it has all been pretty fun. There is always something new to learn.
What made you decide to become a lab professional?
In high school I randomly found out about this career and thought it sounded really cool. I loved being in the lab and working with specimens.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
Playing games. I am really enjoying Animal Crossing right now. I also love reading and spending time outside with my cat.
What is your dream vacation?
I would love to go to Japan.
What is your favorite movie?
I really like No Longer Human by Dazai Osamu.
If money was not a factor, what other profession would you choose?
I would do photography. It would be cool to visit so many places.

How long have you been working in Pathology?
I have been working here since December 2003.
What do you enjoy about working here?
In Molecular Pathology things are always changing. The technology is always being refined, and it is interesting to learn new techniques.
What made you decide to pursue Pathology?
My aunt Carol was a med tech at Mayo. I shadowed her, and I already was interested in science, so I saw this was a perfect fit.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I do mountain biking and paved trail riding. I also enjoy going out to different restaurants with my wife and just relaxing at home.
What is your dream vacation?
Probably going back to Hawaii. I have been there twice now. I would spend two or three weeks to just exploring all the islands.
What is your favorite movie?
Shawshank Redemption and The Lion King.
If money was not a factor, what other profession would you choose?
I would probably be a whitewater raft guide.

How long have you been working in Pathology?
I have been working in Pathology for five years.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I enjoy being part of a team that plays a direct role in patient care. I also appreciate the fast-paced environment and the opportunity to support accurate and timely diagnoses that make a difference for patients.
What made you decide to pursue Pathology?
I was drawn to the healthcare field because of my interest in helping others. Working in the lab allows me to contribute to patient care in a meaningful, behind-the-scenes role where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids. We like to visit different parks around Iowa and spend time outdoors together.
What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be a relaxing getaway somewhere warm and scenic, such as a beach destination where I can unwind and spend quality time with family.
What is your favorite movie?
I don’t have just one favorite, but I enjoy movies that are uplifting or based on true stories.
If money was not a factor, what other profession would you choose?
I am currently in school for business administration, so I'd have to say anything administrative.
