Congratulations to Melissa Blessing, DO on her appointment to the Journal of Forensic Sciences Editorial Board for the 2026–2031 term!

Dr. Blessing is a forensic pathologist, neuropathologist, and pediatric pathologist and serves as the Deputy Medical Examiner for Johnson County. Her research focuses on sudden and unexpected deaths in infants and children. Dr. Blessing’s role on the editorial board in the Pathology/Biology section includes manuscript review focusing on her unique subspecialization and the highest-quality material will be selected for the publication.

The Journal of Forensic Sciences is the official publication of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
