Each year the Pathology Department awards a scholarship, on behalf of the Imogene Fisher Family, to current Medical Laboratory Scientist students at University of Iowa. Imogene Fisher was a  previous medical laboratory scientist that worked in the Bone Marrow Lab at UIHC . 

We are pleased to announce our Scholarship award winner for the 2021-2022 school year is Katie M. Sheehan. Katie won a $1000 scholarship based on her essay on the importance of quality in the laboratory. The essay was  evaluated by a committee of Pathology laboratory supervisors and quality engineers.
