Yinwen Cheng, a PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Andrean Simons-Burnett, was awarded for “Outstanding Oral Presentation” at the 2019 Central States Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (CS-SOT). Yinwen’s presentation was titled “Estrogen: a possible explanation for gender differences in responses to cancer immunotherapy”. Yinwen’s PhD research project focuses on the use of endosomal toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists in head and neck cancer therapy.
