Drs. Karra Jones and Steve Moore, neuropathologists at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC), gave invited lectures at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neuropathologists (AANP).  On June 6th, Dr. Jones was a member of the faculty for a Special Course on “The Iatrogenic Neuropathology of Systemic Therapies.”  Her talk was titled “ .”  During the regular scientific meeting that followed the Course, Dr. Jones also presented a research abstract on the utility of clinical muscle biopsy evaluations to interrogate genetic variants of unknown significance.  This project, in conjunction with Dr. Moore, and her oral presentation earned Honorable Mention for Best Paper on Clinico-Pathological Correlation.

For the past few years, the AANP has invited a member to lecture on a specific topic of their expertise under the rubric “ .”  Dr. Moore presented this year’s lecture on “Muscle.”
