Dr. Andrean Simons-Burnett along with Drs. Carlos Chan (Surgery), George Weiner (Internal Medicine) and Aliasger Salem (Pharmaceutical Sciences) received a Mezhir award for Collaborative Research, sponsored by the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center in the amount of $100,000. Mezhir Awards support the development of multi‐investigator team science to address important research questions in cancer. The funded research project seeks to study the effect of in situ immunization using a novel TLR9 agonist in solid tumors.
