Maddisen Dwelley, BS
Graduate Student, Pathology MS Program
Biography
I was born and raised in Hudson, New Hampshire, before moving to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health Sciences with a focus on Pre-Medicine. As an undergraduate, I worked in Dr. Louie Wurch’s lab, studying nutrient uptake during various phases of bloom development in Microcystis, a freshwater cyanobacterium. Currently, I am an MS student in Pathology at the University of Iowa, conducting research in the Legge Lab to characterize dendritic cell populations following Influenza B infections. Outside of the lab, I enjoy painting, playing the clarinet, hiking, adding to my plant collection, and traveling.
