Neil Lefebure, Staff Nurse in DeGowin Blood Center, is a recent recipient of a UI Health Care Good Catch Award, for which he received a plaque and was honored at a Quality and Safety Oversight Committee. Neil was nominated for this award because he saved a co-worker from choking. While in the cafeteria eating lunch, a co-worker displayed signs of choking and he performed the Heimlich maneuver. We are so happy that Neil was there and able to quickly spring into action to help his co-worker!
