Nicholas Borcherding BS, MS, recently received the University of Iowa L.B. Sims Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award in the Biological Sciences for his thesis entitled “Non-canonical WNT Signaling in Breast Cancer Initiation and Progression”. As a winner of this award, his thesis was submitted to the “Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) Distinguished Thesis Award” competition. Nick also won the Distinguished Thesis Award competition in the Biological and Life Sciences category. He received this award at the MAGS Annual Meeting held April 6-8, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois.
Nick’s thesis advisor is Weizhou Zhang, Assistant Professor of Pathology.
